Carlo is a passionate fisherman who started his fishing adventures at the young age of 5, following his father. He primarily fished in freshwater lakes and rivers across the European Union, targeting various species like Trout, Grayling, Bass, and Pike.
At the age of 28, Carlo expanded his fishing horizons and ventured into saltwater fishing, specifically in the Florida Keys in the United States and Mauritius Island. Here, he pursued more challenging species like Blue Marlin and Sailfish, using conventional and fly fishing techniques. In 1994, Carlo moved to Mexico, which opened up new opportunities for him to learn and master various fishing techniques in saltwater environments. He engaged in saltwater spinning, fly fishing, jigging, and bottom fishing, among others.
Tournaments & Travelling
Between 1996 and 2016, Carlo actively participated in numerous fishing tournaments in Mexico, achieving notable success by winning some of them. Notably, he recalls winning the Trolling World Championship in Acapulco in 2015, as well as the 2 Mexican Trolling Championships in Puerto Vallarta and Puerto Morelos.
From 2010 to 2020, Carlo embarked on various fly fishing adventures with his family, exploring destinations like the Amazon Rainforest, Bolivia, Argentina, North America, Canada, and Alaska. He has a keen interest in exploring different fishing environments and targeting diverse fish species.
Professional Experience
Starting in 2018 until the present, Carlo has been heavily invested in billfish fishing, spending significant time between Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. He owns a custom sport fishing boat, “Trilobite”, which he shares with his family and friends during fishing excursions. Carlo and his crew actively participate in important international fishing tournaments, and they have managed to secure victories in some of these competitions. His passion for fishing has truly become an integral part of his life, allowing him to create cherished memories with loved ones while pursuing his love for the sport.
